NHS England (London and South East regions) have launched their public consultation on proposals for the future location of very specialist cancer treatment services for children who live in south London and much of south east England. The consultation is open until - 18 December 2023.

Winter Engagement Fund - South West London NHS is funding local community and voluntary organisations to run an activity or event to support local communities to stay healthy and well during winter - and to help collect feedback from people. Small grants of up to £500 are being offered to each local community and voluntary groups.

FREE Wellbeing Workshop at Wimbledon Guild: Living well with Diabetes, Tuesday 21st November
 

This workshop will look at what Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are, how a diagnosis and living with diabetes may make you feel, and how stress affects symptoms. We’ll also discuss how you can self-manage the condition.

Right Care Right Person - The NHS in London has launched a new 24/7 advice service for police officers to seek rapid support from mental health specialists when they attend incidents, as part of an ongoing partnership. For more information, please Click Here


Free Mental Health First Aid (Awareness) Training - Do you want to know more about Mental Health? Mental Health First Aid (Awareness) is a half-day Mental Health First Aid England accredited online workshop where you will learn more about common mental health issues.

Mental Health First Aid (Awareness) Course Dates

•         Thursday 16th November – 12:30pm to 5pm

•         Tuesday 12th December – 9:30am to 2:30pm (1-hour lunch break)

Merton Uplift - offer Wellbeing workshops covering topics such as: Coping with Stress, Improving Sleep, Managing anger and irritability, Relaxation techniques, Building self-confidence, Understanding anxiety, Wellbeing for carers, Living well with chronic pain and many more on a weekly basis. Butterfly Companion volunteers will provide social support, connection and companionship to Merton Care Home residents who are approaching the end of their lives to maximum their quality of life at this time.
