COVID Vaccine 19 Updates & Volunteer Call Out

 

COVID Vaccine 19 Call Out - Across the NHS in South West London, they are working hard to deliver the national promise of offering every adult the chance to book a COVID-19 booster vaccine by the end of the year.  This will help protect local people against the Omicron variant.

 

Online bookings are now available for everyone aged 18 and over who had their second dose 3 months ago or more. To book or manage a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination Click Here

 

You can still book your 1st dose or 2nd dose if you have not taken this up yet.

Vaccination Marshal Volunteer Call Out - NHS South West London need help with managing the borough's vaccination sites. The role will consist of managing queues, keeping the flow of patients moving and generally supporting the sites.  If you would like to help, please email your name, contact email & number to volunteer@mertonconnected.co.uk

London Informed: ‘Big Conversation’ community events - Health leaders, the Mayor and community organisations are working together to help get #LondonInformed about the current Covid-19 situation, the threat posed by Omicron and the importance of the vaccine programme.

Merton Mencap's Community Facilitator Service - supports people with a learning disability and/or autism to plan their lives, reach their goals and get the most from life.

 

This may include creating a life-plan, helping someone know what clubs, projects and services are available and making introductions, supporting someone into volunteering, short-term support during a particular transition or difficulty.

 

Access to this service can be made by the person, their family carers, their GP or from another organisation (i.e. local charity, social service).
