London Ambulance Service (LAS) have asked Healthwatch Merton to gather feedback on what we think their priorities should be for their next strategy (2023 - 2028).

Access to sexual and reproductive health services survey

 

The London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond and Wandsworth, with the NHS, are working to improve the sexual and reproductive health of people in the area.  This will inform their approach to services going forward.

 

They are looking for people aged 16 and over who live, work, study, socialise or are looked after by the Boroughs of Merton, Richmond and Wandsworth to complete this survey.

Looking After Yourselves - services, courses, things to do and more

               

 

Are you a veteran of the armed services or do you know someone who is?

 

Healthwatch Merton has launched a project to help veterans and their families living in Merton connect with the services and activities available to them in Merton and beyond.

Learning Together FREE Courses - provides learning opportunities that will teach parents/carers health and wellbeing techniques, as well as how to use creative play, so that they can encourage their children and families to develop healthier creative lifestyles.

A Community in motion – Bringing in the bystander to prevent violence.

 

Many of us when faced with a challenging situation would hope we could do something to help someone in need. This is especially true when that person is a friend, colleague, or neighbour.

Anyone can take part in Bystander training.

Healthier Together provides information on common childhood health concerns such as fever and breathing problems. On the website you will find information about a range of health concerns, all of which have been created by child health specialists, GPs and clinicians in South West London.

Find a warm welcome space - Over 3000 registered organisations (including Merton Libraries and other Merton community settings) have opened or are opening up free, warm, welcoming spaces for the public over this winter across the UK. Help with the cost of living - The cost of living is an urgent problem for many Merton residents. For guidance and support to help you stay well, keep the lights on and pay the bills,

Do you need help with food? Are you looking to volunteer and help reduce food waste?

 

Merton's Community Fridge is open three times at Morden Baptist Church, Crown Lane SM4 5BL.

Mental health support over the festive periodThere are services open throughout the festive period offering mental health support and advice to people in south west London. For more information, please Click Here


Merton Uplift - offer Wellbeing workshops covering topics such as: Coping with Stress, Improving Sleep, Managing anger and irritability, Relaxation techniques, Building self-confidence, Understanding anxiety, Wellbeing for carers, Living well with chronic pain and many more on a weekly basis. They are free, quick and simple to access with no waiting list.
